Good things ::: 12:20:2013

There are some things worth celebrating over here:

1. Simon took a 4 hour nap today {after he slept in till 9 this morning}. Any mama would know that this is a good thing!

2. This leads me to good thing #2 - I was able to take a 1.5 hour nap. Hallelujah. I don't feel groggy and so needed that sleep.

3. I'm totally done with my Christmas shopping. I don't think I've ever been finished this early before. I still have 3 small things to make - but as far as spending money and dealing with other stressed out shoppers - that part is over. Since we're staying in town I had all of our family's shopping done by Monday and shipped all that stuff on Tuesday!

4. Tom is finished with his semester! {Another hallelujah!}

5. Which means we only have one more semester to go!

6. AND he isn't taking a January class! Which means he doesn't have class for a month!

7. Which means I get to spend more time with him.

8. AND I plan on taking full advantage of the fact that I have help during the last month of pregnancy; this really couldn't have worked out any better. He's already helped me so much with Simon. He does have ordination exams to study for, but I'm just really thankful that we'll have more time to spend as a family of 3 before we become a family of 4.

9. While we're bummed about not being able to spend Christmas with any of our family, I am really glad that I'm here blogging right now instead of in the car for a 14 hour drive. Ugh. Ain't nobody got time for that.

10. Receiving Christmas cards is one of my favorite things. You get to see the faces of friends and family AND receive mail. A win win.

  1. Merry Christmas! We are also one semester shy of ordination, and wow, does it feel good! Blessings to your growing family :)

I love comments. It's like getting mail.
