Nutella Donuts

When Lorine came to visit this past weekend, we just had to make some donuts. Mainly because my mom wanted some. My mom first tasted them when she came to visit after Simon was born. Why did I have home-made donuts in my house right after having a baby? Because what else do you do when you're 9+ months pregnant and waiting for a baby to come?

Nutella Donuts

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup veggie oil
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Nutella

Coating:
4 tbs unsalted butter
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
2. Add wet ingredients - mix together
3. Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a mini muffin pan

4. Add enough batter on the bottom of the pan just to coat the bottom {about 1 tbs-ish}. If you'd like some donuts without Nutella, just fill them to fill 3/4 of the cup.

5. Add a little bit of Nutella on top of the batter - but not too much.
6. Put batter on top of the Nutella and fill the cups so that they're about 3/4 full. Should be able to make about 24 mini donuts.

7. Put tin in the oven and bake for about 20ish minutes - until they're a golden color

8. While you're waiting for the donuts to make, melt butter and mix cinnamon/sugar mixture. Also get a butter brush and a wire rack.
9. Once the muffins are out of the oven, let them cool for just a minute.

10. Use a spoon to scoop out the donuts {careful, they're hot}, paint a little butter on them {or you can dip them if you'd like more butter} and dip them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place on cooling rack or in your mouth.
