Speaking of time, the time is nearing for little man to arrive. Yesterday was exactly 2 months until my due date - that's right. Just 8 more weeks until this turkey is ready. Can you believe it's going by so quickly. {Sometimes I think I'm totally ready - I've got this, and then other times I'm like - crap - what did we do? I'm still waaaay too selfish to be a mama.}
All we still have in the baby room is the rug and shelf. :) Next week is my spring break, and I'm looking forward to some much needed nesting and baby room prepping. :) I think this might be the first ever spring break where I won't go anywhere or have anything official to do - and boy am I looking forward to it! I'm afraid I'm not going to get through all of my projects.
I empathize with your nerves, but don't worry. God'll help you along :) I'm now convinced that motherhood is a divinely timed process - pregnancy helps prepare you to love your baby and use your body to nourish it, and as it grows, you grow and adjust... You only have to feed them solids once you've kinda got the whole wow-we're-parents-thing down (as in, you don't wake up startled to be a parent anymore :) ... They get to talking and walking as you begin to need them to have more autonomy and almost wish they would revert back to baby, etc. It's beautiful to see how God can use parenting to bless us, teach us, and grow us. So, I'm excited for you!! You're so close! Home stretch!! :) Oh and for what it's worth? We didn't even have a room for our baby girl when she arrived - we lived in a one bedroom, so she had a dinky little corner of our room (and slept with us!)... :) This time, we'll probably have moved less than a month before the baby is born. So, yeah, who cares about the material stuff? :) In the end, you'll be a great mama and your little boy won't mind in the least. xoxo
