it cracked!

I only remembered this little conversation last night.

You see the couple, who we are renting from, is planning to sell their townhouse after we move out at the beginning of June. Before school started back after Christmas, someone came to fix a hole in the wall and to re-caulk the bathtub.  While he was working, I took the man something to drink; he was busy caulking the tub. I told him thank you for doing that; I said that I caulked the tub when we moved in, but that it continued to crack. He replied with, "Well, you just have to know how to do it right." Understanding that this is his job, I replied with an, "I guess so." I was discouraged by my home-improvement efforts.

I was convinced that I didn't know how to caulk. Then last night - in the shower - I saw it! The caulk - that he put around the bathtub - I saw that it was CRACKED

He assumed that just because I'm some girl that I didn't know how to caulk. I wish he was there {not in the shower of course} so I could say, "HaH!"

Tom said he was inspired by my humbleness.
