First Annual Craft Fest

The first annual craft fest was amazing. Many crafts were made and were worked on. It was quite wonderful having my friends come to see me {coming from 3 different states I might add}, hanging out, all the while doing my favoritist of activities. We used many items to create our crafts: dremmel tools, glue guns, box cutters, acid, paint brushes, iron, mod podge, tiles, flour sacks, fabric, pins, sewing machine, acrylic spray, needle and thread.

Let me introduce the crafters:
Sara, my friend who I intentionally "dated" to get to know so that we can be friends, is using this box cutter to cut out a stencil for the glass etching she's about to do.

Cory, my one college friends who shares the state of Alabama with me and who is a creative soul, created some beautiful dish towels for herself and others.

Elizabeth, one of my in-town friends whose husband is training with Tom for a 1/2 marathon in about 2 weeks (that's right), stopped by for some vino and to make a cuuuuuute birdie dish towel.

Kathryn, another in-town crafting friend who shares my frustrations with teaching, is working on some magnets. She complained about some weak magnets she has at home; don't you just hate a weak magnet? It's kind of like a bobby pin that doesn't hold your hair.

Lorine, LoLo, Weenie, Ho-Ween, L, my sister who drove 4 hours to attend this event, is thinking, "I love craft fest. I love painting tiles. I want a craft room too." {All true. She told me so.}

Aubrey, who is my oldest friend from college - can you believe we've known each other for 8 years? - well, Aubs here is working on a bed skirt. She's kind of advanced when it comes to projects.

A most enjoyable weekend, I might say. The only person who didn't enjoy craft fest was Agnes; poor girl. She's used to getting a bit more attention than this.

All in all, craft fest was a success. I saw friends. I crafted with them. I think I'll go ahead and plan the next one for the St. Louis edition.

I love comments. It's like getting mail.
