resolving to make resolutions

I've never really been a maker of resolutions; this year I am resolving to make resolutions and stick with them.

  1. Keep things clean. I'm great at cleaning and picking up/putting things away. The thing that I'm not very good at is maintaining order. Already I've started throwing things away. Instead of just placing it somewhere temporarily - I'm actually putting things where they belong! A Miracle! I know.
  2. Tom and I are are making this resolution together. We want to be praying people. Last week we started the tradition of writing down five things/people that we want to pray for. This past week was a little unordinary with an unexpected trip to Americus - but so far we've been keeping up with the praying thing. We are also reading A Praying Life by Paul Miller. It has been fantastic thus far. You can purchase it here: Westminster Bookstore.
  3. My third resolution is to be in the Word more. I find it so difficult to do anything consistently with my schedule and Tom's crazy ruf schedule. But of all the things I must make time for - this must be it.
  4. Exercise. Not exercise more - just exercise. I hate it. I haven't lifted a leg since cross country ended in October. I want to exercise at least once a week. I'll start with once - if I seem to be able to do that - I'll up it to two.

What are your new year's resolutions?
